Doctor says my ear drum is all healed up like it's supposed to be.
Just a few more ear drops & I should be all fixed up.
It's so weird that I don't feel them dripping through the hole in my ear drum & into my brain like I used to.

I made 2 types of cupcakes for tomorrow's potluck:
lime greek yogurt & olive oil cupcakes with pomegranate buttercream & pomegranate seeds
apple bacon cheddar cupcakes with apple butter brown sugar frosting
This culinary venture makes me pretty happy.

I made cranberry sauce muffins for book club.
The book was Dracula,
so the cranberry sauce on top was supposed to represent blood.
Is that completely grotesque?
In the end I didn't read the book or go to book club,
but the muffins were quite delicious.

Second day off from work for the hurricane.
But things were better.
No more state of emergency.
So I was able to pack up my stuff & go back home.

It started with a pleasant drive to another state,
the middle was dominated by satisfying hiking that provided views like this,
and the day concluded with a trip to man-land & a bison and brisket burger.
